Technical Note on Hybrid-Polarization

Wollstadt, Steffen and Lopez-Dekker, Paco and Börner, Thomas (2014) Technical Note on Hybrid-Polarization. Project Report. OSCMS-DLR-TN-0001. 20 S.

Abstract

The technical note is about hybrid (dual) polarization and its potential benefits w.r.t. ocean surface current measurements. An introduction/overview is given as well as a brief discussion on performance and its potential compared to alternating polarization. Furthermore the reconstruction of the linear polarization (after the backscattering process) is presented.
