Abstract

The paper reports about an experiment which demonstrates the simultaneous SAR data acquisition into two directions. The principal acquisition geometry is discussed. The concept to separate two images with same range delay time in Doppler domain is explained. The paper shows the calculation of the pulse repetition frequency as the key parameter to separate the images. A bi-directional image acquired with TerraSAR-X demonstrates the validity of the proposed acquisition approach.
