Abstract
The corona pandemic has proved beyond doubt the impact infectious agents can have on our daily life. Infection prevention is a central pillar for a better preparedness against future pandemics. Travel, more precisely passenger cabins, such as aeroplanes, trains and busses, that are frequented by large and varying groups of people, present a substantial challenge in this regard. The aim of the graduate school of the DLR, that comprised of 6 contributing institutes, was to develop and contribute to interdisciplinary solutions and concepts in this field. In this overview, we give a short summary of the conducted studies and how they may support an effective infection prevention.
