Abstract
Mit weltweiter Urbanisierung und zunehmendem ökonomischen Wohlstand steigen Verkehrsaufkommen und Motorisierung. Investitionen in städtische Verkehrsangebote können die wachsende Nachfrage nicht befriedigen, mit negativen ökologischen und sozialen Folgen. Allerdings entstehen in Städten auch neue Mobilitätstrends. Der öffentliche Verkehr und Radverkehr verzeichnen Zuwachsraten. Es entstehen neue Angebote wie Bike-Sharing und leistungsfähige Schnellbussysteme.
