Abstract
The paper describes an innovative methodological approach for European ANSP-assessment. An evaluation of potential methodologies identified the application of the multidimensional Data Envelopment Analysis combined with a regression analysis as an appropriate procedure in ANSP assessment activities. Furthermore, the paper introduces an innovative modular benchmarking scheme for an in-depth investigation, extending the described methodology by including an application on different operational levels and the utilization of manifold data sources.
