Abstract

An increasing demand for the complex structures made of fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) requires eco-efficient production processes. In order to achieve that, both eco-logical and economical aspects should be assessed during the associated life-cycle phase. This thesis presents a simplified Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life-Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) as a decision support tool that covers the manufacturing and assembly processes of selected complex composite structures. This decision support tool is developed by performing Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) methodologies. The BPR in this thesis upgrades and integrates an existing software tool for the calculation of Life-Cycle Cost (LCC) and CO2-footprint of composite components manufacturing. This thesis also provides an automated design process for the decision-makers by constructing a correlation with a standardized data exchange interface. Therefore, in this thesis a combined framework of the LCA, LCCA and BPR is presented. Eine steigende Nachfrage nach komplexen Strukturen aus Faserverbundkunststoff (FVK) erfordert die Entwicklung ökoeffizienter Produktionsverfahren. Um das zu er-reichen, sollten sowohl ökologische als auch ökonomische Aspekte in der zugehörigen Lebenszyklusphase bewertet werden. Diese Masterarbeit behandelt die Entwicklung eines Werkzeugs für die Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) und Life-Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA). Dieses Werkzeug bewertet die Fertigungs- und Montageprozesse von ausgewählten FVK-Strukturen. Es dient als Decision Support Werkzeug und wird mit der Unterstützung des Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) entwickelt. Die BPR erweitert und integriert ein bestehendes Software-Werkzeug für die Berechnung der Lebenszykluskosten und des CO2-footprint von FVK- Strukturen. Es stellt den Decision-Makers einen automatisierten Konstruktionsprozess zur Verfügung, als Schnittstelle dient ein standardisiertes Datenaustausch-System. Daher wird in diesem Rahmen eine Kombination aus LCA, LCCA und BPR entwickelt.
