An overview of materials used in receievers for Concentrating Solar Power is given. The overview starts with mature receiver technologies like the evacuated glass/steel tube for trough collectors and follows the various technologies for solar towers ending with technologies like receivers for the solar gas turbine, which are not yet established in the market. The overview contains full metal receivers as well as ceramic ones which make use of advanced ceramic shaping technology.
