Abstract
Task of this Bachelor thesis is the investigation of producing concepts for the production of parts with highest surface quality composite design. To investigate the technological feasibility of Class-A-surfaces“ of fibre components manufacturing concepts and suitable material combinations are developed in this work. The design will provide an alternative to the currently still very expensive and error-sensitive prepreg technology. In a first step the existing manufacturing processes in terms of the achievable surface quality analyses subsequently identified the critical areas of the manufacturing process. Based on this analysis a pilot program will be developed and implemented in which the focus is on achieving a Class-A-surface“. By appropriate tests production details, such as build-up sequences, impacts and tolerances of used materials are evaluated. In addition to the development of the experimental program suitable prototypes will be made (for later tests). These are based on the results of the planned test-series of various demonstrator components. The potential of highest surface quality is assessed and verified by production testing. In the manufacture of corresponding prototypes quality inspection and weight estimation is performed. A reference geometry for the production, which reflects the critical points of typical automotive exterior part, does already exist. Production tools will be designed and manufactured for required prototypes. This paper focuses on the technology for the producing Class-A-surfaces“.
