Abstract

Die Performance einer neuartigen Bauweise von Schaumkernverbund-Nasenkanten eines Seitenleitwerks soll auf ihre Vogelschlagtoleranz untersucht werden. Anhand von Fertigungsmustern einer Seitenleitwerksnase mit nicht konstanter Dicke werden Vogelschlagtests durchgeführt, um Schadensbilder durch Vogelschlag zu erhalten, die in Bezug auf die Bauvorschriften der Lufttüchtigkeit analysiert werden. The bird strike performance of a new design of vertical tail plane leading edges with foam core sandwich shall be studied. These parts are taken from a vertical tail plane of a passenger transport aircraft. By means of new manufacturing validation units of a leading edge of non-uniform cross section bird strike tests shall be performed. The test results will be analysed in terms of damage patterns with respect to the airworthiness requirements.
