Abstract
Managing complexity is becoming one of the greatest challenges for organizations in every discipline today. As processes are mostly interrelated with others, the complexity usually precludes decision makers from gaining knowledge on how policy changes may affect the total organizational performance. Implementing a simulation model allows managers to define and change crucial policies in order to see how the system reacts. This paper offers a methodological ap-proach how to set up a causal diagram on financial flows of a generic ANSP (Air Navigation Service Provider) from the System Dynamics perspective. Focus is laid both on the process from system thinking to System Dynamics and its application as a support tool aiming to clarify human´s thoughts on managerial issues and to provide a scientific basis for sustainable business decisions.
