Abstract

Research on vehicle-to-vehicle communications (including train-to-train, car-to-car etc.) is one of the lead activities of the center of excellence for robust and reliable communications as part of the Institute of Communications and Navigation of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). This talk will elaborate on some latest research results on different levels of the communication stack targetting in particular safety-of-live applications. Examples will be given from the rail and the road domain, with a specific focus on a new evaluation metric.
