Abstract

This document suggests some suitable methods for efficient quantification of uncertainties in the integral aerodynamic quantities output by computational fluid dynamic (CFD) models, focusing on parametric and geometric sources of uncertainty and probabilistic approaches. This covers the characterization and parameterization of uncertainties in the model's input and the uncertainty propagation through the model. Suitable and efficient methods are suggested for various conditions.
