Abstract

The aerodynamic layout and design of the "Next Generation Train" plays a key role in improving the vehicle’s performance characteristics. Aerodynamic aspects also decisively determine indispensable safety aspects relevant for certification of the vehicle such as crosswind stability and the operating vehicle's effect on the environment and immediate surroundings as well as the passenger's perceived ride comfort, and thus the vehicle's acceptance
