Abstract
This technical node describes the prototype SAR focusing suite including point target simulated raw data generation, prototype focusing algorithm modules for Stripmap, ScanSAR and Sliding Spotlight modes as well as an IRF analysis tool. This document is the complete documentation for the Prototype SAR Focusing suite of SIMSAR DLR Support WP 400. The document includes the input/output definition, a description of the focusing algorithms and the raw data generation. The software is explained with block diagrams to a degree sufficient to understand how the IDL code works. The text and plot output of the processing suite is described. Test cases are defined and exemplary results of the test cases are provided in the document. A complete documentation of the test results is available on the SW-delivery CD, i.e. the text and plot output files generated from the Processing Suite during the execution of the test cases.
