TerraSAR-X CALIBRATION GROUND EQUIPMENT DESIGN DOCUMENT

Abstract

This document identifies the necessary steps for the design of the TerraSAR-X calibration ground equipment. The required specifications are described in [AD-01]. This issue of the document includes the design characteristics of trihedral corner reflectors. It does not include the detailed design of the electronic calibration targets. After an international announcement of developing and manufacturing the electronic calibration targets the order was placed in October 2003 with a kick-off date in December 2003. Thus, the design of the electronic calibration targets will be specified by the sub-contractor IHE of the University of Karlsruhe and the document will be updated when subcontractor’s detailed design documents are available.
