Abstract

Risks are potential threats to a project. Risk management, as part of project management, aims to appropriately handle all kind of project risks in order to achieve mission success. The objectives of project risk management are to increase the probability and impact of positive events, and decrease the probability and impact of events adverse to the project. Following the risk management plan project risks shall be managed in a systematic, pro-active and comprehensive way over the entire project lifecycle. Hereby risks shall be identified, categorized, reduced, supervised and, possibly, accepted. The TanDEM-X Ground Segment project has established and is maintaining a risk register in the projects data base system
