Abstract

This document represents a study developed by the authors in terms of creating a toolset known as Extensible Workflow Management for SIMMOD - EWMS. The principal aim of the Extensible Workflow Management for SIMMOD (EWMS) is to provide a number of advanced features that are not available through the SIMMOD Plus/Pro GUI applications. This toolset is developed in order to build a capability for fuel consumption and airport air quality modeling. During 2008 the first operational version of the EWMS toolset was finished and used for case studies. This version is currently used for fuel consumption calculations as well as for a number of advanced features that are not available through the SIMMOD applications. The authors have tested this tool and the paper presents the preliminary results.
