We describe linear fault detection techniques and associated software tools which are available in the current version of the FAULT DETECTION Toolbox for MATLAB of DLR. The toolbox provides a comprehensive set of high level m-functions to support various design approaches of linear residual generation filters for continous- or discrete time linear systems. The underlying design techniques relies on reliable numerical algorithms developed mainly by the author.
