Abstract

This report represents the contribution of DLR to the DYNAMITED Project, Work Package 4130 “Post-Test Data Validation Methods – Non-linear Aspects”. The report deals with methods for the characterization of non-linearities from experimental data. The sources and consequences on non-linearities are discussed. A review of timedomain and frequency-domain methods for the detection and characterization of non-linearities is given. Applications of such methods to spacecraft structures are presented.
