Abstract

The Single Line Injection (SLI) technique developed by the DLR Institute for Structural Mechanics uses nanoparticles (barium sulphate or silicon dioxide) to optimise the properties of composites. Even at low particle content, the technique gives properties that are comparable to those of composites produced using prepreg technology.
