The Personalized Scout - From Vision to Implementation

Abstract

While common navigation systems are calculating the routes depending on static information, the new approach of The Personalized Scout (TPS) will consider individual drivers data. The driving environment affects the driver’s workload-level which leads to more or less strain. To get good driving performance the workload-level has to be optimized for the driver. The built up demonstrator uses a basic structure of driver types which are categorized according to the driver’s stable, long-term driving habits. The greatest influence to the route-calculation arises from the actual state of the driver which is measured during the trip and considered in time.
