Abstract
High flying radar sensors in combination with optical sensors give complete new aspects in managing road traffic in different situations. This paper is going to present the aims of present DLR projects in SAR GMTI, the latest results and the actual status of work. It will further give an outlook over the potentials of upcoming future airborne sensors supporting road traffic and disaster management.
