Abstract

The state of the art of the ground vibration test (GVT) methods applied by DLR to the Airbus A321 aircraft is reviewed here. Topics like suspension, excitation, measurement pick-ups, identification of modal parameters and on-line monitoring are considered and discussed in detail. The experience gathered with the GVT on the A321 and other aircraft of the Airbus family can be used as the basis for preparing GVTs on large flexible aircraft like the A3XX and for starting necessary developments.
