Abstract

The structural dynamics of the PPF/ENVISAT-1 spacecraft has been investigated by means of a Modal Survey Test. The main objective of the test was to provide a reliable data base for updating the analytical mathematical model and for improvement of the structural dynamic modelling. The test was performed by DLR in the Large European Acoustic Facility at ESTEC. The measurements included the normal modes and the corresponding parameters of the test structure in the frequency range up to 100 Hz. The test results were correlatedwith the respective analytical results. The present report describes the test performance and summarizes the test results.
