Abstract

Vibrations are a major problem for all spacecraft during their launching period. In order to develop and demonstrate advanced methods for structure qualification to solve these problems, a joint project with the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) was initiated. The aim of this project is to predict the dynamic behaviour of a test structure because of the known dynamic behaviour of its substructures. For this prediction, an FE model of the test structurewill be created, consisting of validated FE models of the substructures. This report summarizes the development, validation, and updating of the FE model of one of the substructures.
