Abstract
For evaluating flutter proneness of the single-seat high-performance motor glider DG-800, manufactured by Glaser-Dirks Flugzeugbau, Bruchsal, the required investigations according to JAR-22 (Subpart D) 22.629(b)(1) have been conducted. This report deals with both the 18 m span version and the 15 m span version with winglets. A Ground vibration test and flutter calculations up to 1.2 VD covering all configurations of the airplane have been performed. The significant results are summarized in this report. Requirements and recommendations are stated aiming at a reduction of flutter risk.
