Abstract

The WP1-Report of this study presents the theoretical background of a new structural dynamic testing technique for simulation of dynamic loads. The simulation is performed by a multi-point excitation scheme. The simulating force histories are calculated by means of modal force vectors. The WP2-Report describes the related test software. The WP-3 Report presents the application of the modal force combination (MFC) technique on beam type structures. Two MFC versions are investigated. The test results of the MFC simulation are compared with base-driven tests. In conclusion, topics for further investigation are pointed out.
