Ground vibration tests were performed on the prototype PTI of the Franco-German helicopter PAH-2 'Tiger'. The objectives of these tests were the measurement of the structural dynamic characteristics for stability analyses and for correlation with the finite element calculations. The helicopter was investigated in different configurations on ground and in 'free-free' condition as well as with and without external loads. The tests included the measurement of the modal parameters by multi-shaker excitation and of the frequency response behaviour for rotor excitation. Due to the right time schedule the tests had to be restricted to the most important configurations and frequency ranges. This report describes the test performance and contains the test results and evaluations.
