Abstract

DLR started a research programme on a transport aircraft nearly 20 years ago. The models F4 and F6 were designed for high speed with a full span of 1.17m while the ALVAST model was provided for low speed having a full span of 3.43m. F4 and F6 differ slightly in airfoil shape, wing twist and DEF3 location. F6 and ALVAST have the same geometry. Some results on F6 and ALVAST are compared for low speed. The data of forces and wing pressure distributions show a large degree of agreement.
