Abstract

After a brief description of the computer resources some numerical approaches for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) are discussed. For the computational techniques the aspect of code validation is of utmost importance. With the computational means waiting for realistic applications grid generation and physical modelling are the pacing items. Examples are presented for external as well as internal flow simulations including reactive and rarefied flows.
