Abstract

This chapter is a description of the application of one particular methodology of eigenstructure assignment on the esearch Civil Aircraft Model (RCAM). As a methodology, eigenstructure assignment has been applied to various aircraft problems in the past, including industrial problems. As a consequence, the applicability of the method to aircraft control system design is constantly increasing, and the application to the RCAM problem, described here, is an inevitable result of the drive to make eigenstructure assignment more visible as a simple design tool.
