Kurzfassung

The two-dimensional irrotational super sonic flow through straight blade cascades is calculated analytically. The flow fields found differ substantially depending on whether the axial components of the inlet flow and the outlet flow are subsonic or supersonic. Neutral inlet and outlet characteristics are determined as limits of the cascade shocks. Entropy changes due to the infinite number of cascade shocks are also given.
