Abstract

The talk provided an introduction to the topics of the Helmholtz Young Investigator Group "DataMat" and its first workshop at the Institute of Materials Physics in Space. These topics combine materials science, physics, and mathematics for an interdisciplinary discussion of random spatial structures and the possibilities of machine learning for material design.
