Abstract

The paper deals with the electrical and thermal energy management between a vehicle and a building. A modified fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) serves as a vehicle demonstrator. The building is represented by a building simulation setup. The primary emphasis of this work lies on testing the developed communication structure between vehicle and building to manage the energy flows. For this purpose, various tests were carried out where predefined electricity load profiles were run and constant power tests were performed. The test results validate the developed communication setup and confirm the correct recording, transformation and storage of the measurement data. Thus the system serves as a basis for future increase in home energy management flexibility.
