Abstract

Data assimilation get increasingly important in experimental fluid dynamics. The field of applications is expanding and the methods are becoming more differentiated. From data analysis, error reduction and lower order modelling to physical constraint measurement data interpolation. TThe lecture shouold provide a basic understanding of the DA methodologies, the mathematics involved at the grassroots level, and the various applications in experimenmtal fluid mechanics and aerodyanmic research.
