Abstract

A hyperuniform point process can be isotropic like the Poisson point process but homogeneous like lattice, i.e., the asymptotic number variance vanishes. In this talk, I review some of the progress together with Günter Last on the topic of hyperuniformity, embedded in some recent progress in the field.
