Abstract

Current SAR instrument performance calculation tools lag behind the development of new imaging techniques. The SAR Imaging Mode Syntax (SIMS) is a unique description of instrument operation through a sequence of events and settings, making it possible to define arbitrary imaging modes, including future and advanced techniques, for performance calculation.
