Abstract
A free-wake code used for computation of the wake geometry of helicopter rotors is developed specifically for use of massive parallel computers, i.e. with more than 100 CPUs. Due to the nature of the problem the code has little communication overhead and shows a speed-up proportional to the number of processors. This is tested for up to 90 processors, and results are obtained and validated using HART test data.
