Abstract

The presentation gives insights to deterministic and stochastic friction phenomena observed on a full-scale test-rig. Subsequently, a deterministic and stochastic friction model based on a phenomenological dynamic approach is presented. Finally, the model is applied to conduct brake performance assessment of a multiple unit.
