Konfigurationen 2020: Landing Gear Conceptual Design and Analysis for K2020 Cost Efficient Aircraft - DLR Yearly Report

Abstract

This document is the yearly report of DLR work for the year 2004 within the project of Konfigurationen 2020 (K2020), a German funded national project. In this report the landing gear concepts for the Cost Efficient Aircraft, one of the aircraft concepts in K20202, are explained. The main objective of the work is to verify the landing gear concept proposed by the project partner, AIRBUS. A simulation model of the cost efficient aircraft is assembled. The work also included the modeling of the landing gear models for the aircraft. Since not all of the information has been available at the beginning, both aircraft and landing gear models are modeled based on the information from the AIRBUS A300 aircraft family. The simulation included the landing scenarios according to JAR 25.479 and 25.481 and the concerning of the aircraft during the ground maneuvers. Finally the results of the landing gear attachment loads are evaluated.
