Abstract

The paper discusses various methods for the detection of non-linearities within the framework of ground vibration testing (GVT). The detection techniques used measured data from established excitation methods like swept-sine or stepped-sine excitation in order to smoothly implement them in current test strategies. The procedures are discussed with respect to their application limits in large-scale testing. Examples of large aerospace structures demonstrate the efficiency of the investigated detection procedures. The results from this study are introduced into new test strategies that are used for the vibration testing of large aerospace structures.
