Abstract
During the development of spacecraft it is required to precisely determine their inertia parmeters. For this purpose a special method has been developed which identifies the inertia parameters from base excitation test data. In order to further investigate and improve the identification method, tests with different structures, a simple Cuboid and the laboratory-type test structure Clumod, have been carried out. In a previous report the test structures, the test setup and the performance of the tests are described. This rport documents the test data evaluation, the data processing and presents the test results. The first step of the data evaluation consists in the calculation of frequency spectra, resulting 6 DoF forces and moments at the FMD, and 6 DoF base accelerations. In a second step matrices of dynamic (or apparent) masses were computed for different reference points. Selected dynamic mass functions are depicted and discussed.
