Abstract

In order to study the typical transonic phenomena in as pure a form as possible, we used models having simple geometry for our experiments in the Transonic Wind-Tunnel. Three test setups for aeorelastic experiments are described: A flutter test setup for 2-D wings, which also can be used for producing forced heaving motion. A second test setup for forced pitching motion also for 2-D wings, which in addition can be modified for 1 DOF flutter measurements. The third test setup is for forced pitching of 3-D halfmodels. Representative results in particular regarding nonlinear effects will be presented and discussed.
