Kurzfassung
In order to increase acceptance of automated mobility on-demand (AMoD) it is essential to provide high usability along the whole user journey. The user’s challenges of getting to flexible pick-up locations and the identification of the booked shuttle need to be addressed from a user-centered perspective. A workshop was conducted with HCI experts to create user-centered smartphone interface design solutions and elicit means of augmented reality (AR) for three scenarios: 1) navigation to the pick-up location, 2) identifying the pick-up location, and 3) identifying the SAV. Post-hoc fundamental AR information elements that provide users with high usability to overcome the aforementioned challenges were identified and visualized. Results of the workshop serve as a starting point to iteratively develop AR-aided user inter-faces of virtual ride access points that cover the user journey of AMoD.
