In the framework of the qualification procedure for the European Robotic Arm (ERA) a boosted modal survey test is planned to qualify the strength of the interfaces between ERA and the launcher. Suitable eigenmodes of structure in its launch configuration will be excited on a high excitation level by a mobile electro-magnetic shaker. The report evaluates the feasibility of achieving protoflight loads in the interfaces where qualification is required on the basis of the finite-element model. Eleven qualification runs are proposed which should qualify most of the components of the interfaces of interest. The calculated loads in the external and internal interfaces as well as the predicted accelerations at the measurement locations are given for these runs. In addition, the excitation points for the modal survey test which proceeds the boosted modal survey test are investigated. Two new excitation points are proposed based on this study.
