Abstract
The European Robotic Arm (ERA) is designed for assembly and service of the International Space Station ISS. A boosted modal survey test was performed on the Flight Model of ERA for qualification purpose. The test was carried out in October 2000 in the premises of ESTEC (Noordwijk, The Netherlands). Modes measured during a previous modal survey test were selected in order to achieve qualification loads of the interfaces between launcher and ERA by exciting these modes on a high excitation level. This report contains the test procedure of the Boosted Model Survey Test and presents the test results. Comprehensive tables and plots are given as well as summaries of each test run. The overall test result is summarized and assessed.
