Abstract

The homologation of the heat exchanger for the KTGV Main Transformer requires a vibration qualification of the cooler filled with liquid dielectric. For this purpose a dynamic qualification test was performed on a heat exchanger utilizing DLR´s Multi-Axis Vibration Simulator MAVIS. The test programme was derived following the actual International Electrotechnical Commission (ICE) requirements. In addition to the qualification tests a modal identification of the cooler was performed. This test report gives a summary of the test performance and test results. The heat exchanger could be qualified successfully.
