Abstract

This research project examined current taxi procedures of airline aircraft from a Human Factors (HF) perspective and evaluated Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) regulations as well as associated safety aspects. The findings were utilised to develop a concept of enhanced EFB functions and outline an implementation plan containing a risk assessment. The potential effect of enhanced EFB functions on safety was explored.
