Abstract
A research Ground Vibration Test was performed in cooperation by ONERA and DLR on the Airbus A340-300 MSN1 prototype. The tests were performed for two aircraft configurations, i.e. on pneumatic suspension and on a landing gear. The aim of the test was to investigate advanced test methods with respect to their potential in time savings at equivalent test result quality. The report gives a detailed description of the test performance and test results. The test methods are compared and correlated with the finite element predictions. Conclusions are drawn for an optimized test strategy for future large aircraft tests.
