Abstract

A modal analysis is performed for the structural and thermal model (STM) of the Rosetta Lander. The analyzed data were measured during single axis vibration with the Rosetta Lander at IABG in April 1999. This report describes the data analysis, consisting of a basic data evaluation and identification of modal parameters from calculated Frequency Response Functions. Two different test sequences from the test campaign are investigated. The first set analyzed is the first low level sine sweep for each excitation direction x, y and z. The second consists of the last low level sine sweep for each excitation direction. The modal parameters are identified for both sets in frequency range from 5 to 350 Hz. The results are presented in terms of eigenfrequencies, damping values and mode shapes. A discussion of the results concludes the report.
